BS6, a term that has been at the centre of the biggest discussions in the automobile industry, has received an incredible amount of attention throughout the nation. 1. You can’t drive a BS4 car after April 2020

Many people are under the impression that from April 2020 onwards, BS4 vehicles will become obsolete and hence banned to be driven on Indian roads. Well, the norm only states that after 1st April 2020, new BS4 vehicles will not be registered. Those who are driving BS4 cars can continue to do so, and those who are planning to buy a BS6 car, please note - you’ll be contributing to green mobility in the long run.

2. The availability of BS6 fuel will prove to be an issue

While it is true that BS6 fuel is available at select stations at the moment, it is not really a concern if you buy a Maruti Suzuki BS6 compliant car since these are extensively tested to run on BS4 fuels without any operational concerns.
