Here is another technology that makes your car secure. The engine immobilizer is designed to prevent the engine from starting in the absence of the vehicle's authentic and authorised keys. To do so, it uses an electronic chip embedded into the engine's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) that reads and validates the smart key codes to turn on your vehicle's ignition.
